Assignment Question: Law of Tort - Negligence

Advise the parties involved in the scenario below about their non- contractual rights. The emphasis should be solely on law of tort, excluding other areas of law that might be  involved. The scope of the analysis should be limited  to Malaysian law and the law of one additional common law country of your choice.

Scenario: The Grocery Store Incident

Aisha, a regular customer at KedaiSegar, visits the grocery store on a busy Saturday afternoon. While navigating through the crowded aisles, she suddenly slips on a spill of liquid that had been on the floor for an extended period.

Witnesses later confirm that several store employees were aware of the spill but failed to either clean it up or place warning signs to alert customers to the hazard. As a result of her fall, Aisha suffers a sprained ankle, significant bruising, and requires medical treatment, leading to both physical pain and financial costs due to medical bills and lost wages.

Following the  incident, Aisha  decides to  file  a  lawsuit  against  KedaiSegar  for negligence, seeking compensation for her injuries and the impact on her daily life. Will she be successful in the court case?

o The report should be between 2,000 and 2,500 words (excluding references).

o Use standard academic formatting, including headings and subheadings to organize your analysis.

3. Research and Citation:
