Modeling of Engineering Problems based on either Ordinary Differential Equations, Laplace Transforms or Power Series. A combination of some of the above methods is welcomed.

This is a group report and there could be 5-7 students in your group. Designed by yourself to investigate a modeling of engineering problems by using the methodology learned in MTH101.

They could be in the scope of the first-order, second-order, higher order or systems of ODEs, Laplace transforms and complex analysis, etc. Examples include, but are not limited to

(1) Different oscillations

(2) Electric Circuits

(3) Systems of ODEs as models in any engineering applications

(4) Problems of fluid flow, energy transformation and heat problems

The delivery:

A group report of 800-1000 words including

(1) Background

(2) Description of the model(s)

(3) Explanation of the solutions

(4) Conclusion

(5) References
